Park Tool Dummy Hub

For my cycling friends: I bought one of the Park Dummy Hubs a few weeks back and finally got a chance to use it today. If you ride a lot and/or sweat like I do, it becomes important to wash your ride to keep it clean and in tip-top riding condition. I like to hang my bike, wheels off and wash the entire bike and paying lots of attention to the drivetrain. For years I used a Park chain cleaner that helped, but didn't really get the chain very clean and it did nothing for the rest of the drivetrain. So what the dummy hub does is to hold your chain and derailleur in a normal position and away from the paint on the chainstays. Best part is you can rotate the pedals and even shift to scrub the entire chain. IMHO this $13 item will be a huge help in your drivetrain clean-up if you do it wheels off as I do.  Less
